How do I apply for a job at Bossjob ?

Chat directly with the Boss, as easy as that ! Out with the old way of applying for a job, get instant feedback and queries answered via chat. Click on ‘Chat Now’ to start chatting with the Boss. An application will be made when you have sent over your resume to Boss !

Why can’t I send a resume to Boss ?

Before Boss has replied to your chat message(s), action to send your resume to Boss will not be available.

Why can’t I exchange my mobile number with Boss ?

Until Boss has replied to your chat message(s), the ability to exchange your mobile number with Boss will not be available.

How do I create a job alert to stay updated on new relevant job postings

Creating a job alert allows you to stay updated when new relevant jobs are posted

Web:

To create a new job alert, head to the job search page. Click on ‘Enable job alert’ and a job alert based on your current search filters will be enabled.

To manage your job alert, you may click on the bell icon. Alternatively, you may head to account settings page > Job Alert.

App:

At the bottom navigation bar, tap on the ‘Jobs’ tab. Here you will be seeing a list of relevant and recommended jobs based on your job preference. To help us improve our recommendation, click on ‘X’ of a specific job card, and provide us the reason for job irrelevance, and we will optimise our recommendation further for you.

Interview

I can’t make it for the interview, how do I cancel or reschedule ?

Web:

Go to the respective chat with Boss whom you have scheduled for an interview
On the top right corner of the chat, click on the ‘Calendar’ icon.
Click on ‘Cancel Interview’.

Note: you will not be able to cancel the interview if it’s less than 6 hours before the scheduled timing.

App:

At the bottom navigation bar, navigate to the ‘Menu’ page > Interview

At the interview schedule, tap on specific interview that you will not be able to make it

Under ‘Progress’ tap on ‘Cancel’

I am not able to check-in for my interview

How do I update my online profile ?

Web:

Login to your account > Manage Resume >Profile
Here, you can update your profile, from basic personal information, work experience, education, skills, etc.

I have my own resume, how do I upload my existing resume ?

Web:

Login to your account > Manage Resume > Resume
Under ‘Upload your own resume’, click on the “Upload your resume” button and select your desired file to upload!

App:

At the bottom navigation bar, navigate to the ‘Menu’ page > Attached Resume
Tap on ‘Upload’ to upload your resume.
You would be able to see a list of resumes here if you have more than 1 resume.

I### do not have my own resume, how do I create a free one on Bossjob ?
This feature is only available on the web.

We provide resume templates to be downloaded for free. As of now, we have 2 different types of resume (corporate and creative), that you can readily use.

Login to your account > Manage Resume > Resume
Under ‘Bossjob resume’, click ‘Download’ to download your desired resume.
Do ensure that you have filled up as much information as you can under the ‘Profile’ section, as the information in the resume will be based on your online profile with us !

How do I update my job preferences ?

Web:

Login to your account > Manage Resume > Job Preferences
Click on the edit symbol (pencil) on top right of job preferences section
Enter your desired job title, job type, location, salary range and industry in the fields
Click ‘Save’ and your job preferences will be updated
Our recommendation A.I. will start to recommend you relevant jobs in 24 hours

App:

At the bottom navigation bar, navigate to the ‘Menu’ page > Job Preferences
Click on the plus symbol on the top right corner to add more than 1 job preference.

Where do I find all my applied jobs ?

Web:

Click on the arrow dropdown next to your profile picture on the top right corner > Account Settings > My Jobs > Applied (Alternatively, click here)

Where do I find all my saved jobs ?

Web:

Click on the arrow dropdown next to your profile picture on the top right corner > Account Settings > My Jobs > Saved (Alternatively, click here)

How do I stop Bosses from messaging me ? / I would like to manage my privacy settings

If you are not actively looking for a job at the moment, you can hide your profile from everyone.

Web:

Login to your account > Manage Resume > Job Preferences
Toggle to enable/disable under ‘Open to work’ section to hide your profile from Boss(es)
When the button is toggled/lighted up, you will not be will not be visible to Bosses.

How do I report recruitment scams/inappropriate behaviour of Boss ?

While we do our best to verify Boss(es) who are hiring on Bossjob, you should be cautious when they:

Requires you to travel for interview and book your tickets via a third party travel agency and promise to reimburse you later
Requires you to pay before processing your application
Invites you to interviews for illegal sales scheme or MLM
Are offering a package which is too unrealistic
Are dubious or misleading

Please exercise caution when you are asked to meet the Boss(es) for an in-person interview.

Conduct research on the legitimacy of the company
Ask to meet in public places
Inform family members or close friends about your interview place and time
